Editing Review

We have almost finished editing our video and so far it has been a total success. We had a few difficulties getting our footage onto the computer although we got there in the end and being ahead of time due to having to spend less time filming, we are able to make the most of all of the time we have to edit. So far we have managed to edit the video just as we wanted it to look and we are really pleased with the outcome so far.

Filming Review

We finished filming which was successful, we managed to film the majority of what we need in one day over a course of about 6 hours. We were in luck with the weather which turned out to be a very sunny day making the lighting and colour available for filming just as we'd planned for. We managed to get a lot of nice shots which we were really pleased with and we also managed to get a lot more footage than we thought we would manage in one day which means we are well ahead for editing and further ahead in our timetable than we expected.

Location

We haven't changed all of the locations we will be using in our new video as a lot of the locations we had decided on before were already quite summery and close to nature and this is the effect we want to keep in our new video as the genre is the same.

The Woods

We will use this location for the same reasons as before, it has some pretty scenes close to nature with nice lighting and it is in a nice location.

The Beach

We will use this location as it is a nice area in our local town, close to nature with a really pretty view that looks right over the channel which we can use for some scenes in our montage.

The Marina

We decided to film in the marina because its a modern, pretty area with nice views modern parks to film. Again it is close to nature and pretty like the audience research we found suggested.

Prop Planning

For our video there isn'yt many props neccessary as it isn't a narrative and the most important things we need to focus on is location. Although we do have one prop which is a penny board which we will be using for a lot of our shot as we feel it is a fun, cool feature which fits in well with the genre of the song and our idea.

Costume

We have decided on new costumes to go with our new video ideas and this is what we have decided on.

Frankie's Costume

Rosie's Costume

We decided on these costumes as we feel for an indie/alternative song these outfits are what people of this genre of music would wear. We think that they are quite casual to go with the events in the video and that they really suit the song we have chosen.

The Temper Trap

The Temper Trap is an Australian indie rock band which formed in 2005. The members of the group are Dougy Mandagi (vocals), Jonathon Aherne (bass guitar), Toby Dundas (drums), Lorenzo Sillitto (lead guitar) and Joseph Greer (keyboards and guitar).

The band released their debut album Conditions in 2009 and it got into the top 30 on the UK Albums Chart. Its lead single, "Sweet Disposition".

New Cast Change

Due to being let down by cast with our previous video idea we have decided that as this song doesn't have a narrative structure we will use ourselves as the cast to avoid being let down. Also by using ourselves as cast we can make sure that we act exactly as we should and it will be more effective to organise ourselves rather than other people.
